What is your role at Redington?
As Head of Global Assets, I essentially have three roles:

1. Advising institutional clients across wealth, endowments, Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) and insurers.

2. Ensuring my team continue to be happy, motivated and well-resourced.

3. Identifying and pursuing growth opportunities within our existing client base and in new areas that could be on the horizon over the next few years.

What have you been working on recently?
We were fortunate enough to have a good spate of new client wins at the start of this year, so I’ve spent the last couple of quarters onboarding them and completing the ‘Research & Objectives’ stage of our advice process to ensure we understand their objectives and constraints.

I’ve also worked on several sustainable investment projects for some larger institutions that want to push the boundaries on integrating and aligning their investment strategy with their overarching mission and purpose.

What are the highlights of the past 12 months?
My fantastic team continue to be a highlight. I feel so lucky to work with such a talented and hard-working group of individuals who pull together when things get busy and are always up for socialising when diaries allow.

From a business perspective, we’ve seen a real uptick in momentum across our Global Assets client base (which currently spans wealth, endowments, Local Government Pension Schemes and insurers). In the last six months, we’ve become a more established player in areas where we didn’t have a presence five or so years ago.

What do the next 12 months look like?
One of the great aspects of our business is our ongoing relationships with existing clients and flourishing relationships with new clients. My focus over the next 12 months will be on continuing to delight them with our services, given they’ve entrusted us to be their advisors. We continue to develop our tools and offering to help secure the best possible outcomes for their beneficiaries.

What makes you tick outside of work?
People always joke that I never switch off. So when I’m not hanging out with my Cockapoo, Salty, you’ll usually find me running, sailing, cycling or enjoying a glass of rosé by the seaside after one of those activities.
